WiFi & Networking
If your WiFi drops in the back bedroom, the garden office or the far end of the unit, the cause is usually where the equipment sits and not your broadband. We look at the building first, then install access points where the signal is needed.
What we install
Whole-home WiFi
Ceiling or wall access points, cabled back to your router, so every room gets a strong signal on one network name.
Garden rooms and outbuildings
A cabled or point-to-point link to offices, garages and sheds.
Business WiFi
Coverage for offices, shops and units, with a separate guest network that keeps visitors off your own systems.
Farm and yard coverage
Outdoor access points, and point-to-point wireless links that carry your network to a barn or shed with no internet. See a recent farm job.
Networks for security systems
Cabling and switches so cameras, intercoms and alarms have a reliable connection.
Why choose Techtrix for WiFi
We look before we quote
We visit, find where the signal drops and why, and plan the access points around your building.
Cabled where possible
Access points wired back to the router are faster and more reliable than plug-in boosters.
Neat work
We run data cable every day for cameras and alarms, and route it out of sight.
One company for security and network
Your cameras and intercoms depend on the network, so it helps when the same people look after both.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to change my broadband provider?
No. We work with the connection you have and improve how it reaches each room.
Are plug-in boosters not enough?
They can help in small spaces, but they usually halve the speed and create a second network. Wired access points avoid both.
Can you get WiFi to a garden office or shed?
Yes, with a buried or surface cable, or a wireless link where a cable isn't practical.
Will it work with my existing router?
Usually. If the router is the weak point, we'll tell you.
