  • Provide installation, servicing, and maintenance of security systems 

  • Deliver 24/7 monitored alarm or CCTV services through an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) partner 

  • Manage contracts, quotations, and customer communications 

  • Maintain compliance documentation for SSAIB and legal purposes 

  • Respond to technical queries, faults, or emergencies 

5. Legal Basis for Processing 

  • Contractual necessity: to deliver the services you request 

  • Legal obligation: to meet statutory and regulatory requirements 

  • Legitimate interests: to improve service quality and system reliability 

6. How Data Is Collected 

  • Directly from customers during quotations, installation, or service 

  • From alarm or CCTV equipment communicating with our ARC partner 

  • Through communications via email, phone, or in-person visits 

7. Data Storage & Security 

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: 

  • Digital records are stored securely in Microsoft OneDrive, which uses AES-256 encryption and access controls 

  • Physical documents held securely in locked storage 

  • Access restricted to authorised Techtrix personnel only 

  • Monitoring data transmitted directly to an NSI Gold-certified ARC partner under secure protocols 

  • All personal data is stored within the UK / European Economic Area (via Microsoft 365 data centres) and is not transferred outside the UK / EEA 

8. Data Sharing 

We only share personal data where necessary for service delivery or compliance: 

  • ARC partner: for alarm and CCTV monitoring services 

  • Regulatory authorities: when required by law or SSAIB audit 

  • Service providers: if subcontracted for installation, maintenance, or emergency support 

We never share or sell your data for marketing without explicit consent. 

9. Data Retention 

  • Customer and maintenance records retained for up to five years or as required by regulation 

  • CCTV or alarm footage retained only as long as necessary — typically up to 30 days — unless required longer for an active investigation or legal purposes 

  • Data no longer required is securely deleted or destroyed 

10. Your Rights 

You may: 

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you 

  • Ask for corrections to inaccurate information 

  • Request deletion where legally permissible 

  • Restrict or object to certain processing 

  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format 

  • Withdraw consent where applicable

11. CCTV & Monitoring 

  • CCTV and alarm signals are transmitted directly to our accredited ARC partner, an NSI Gold-certified monitoring provider. 

  • Techtrix does not retain continuous live monitoring data; all processing complies with UK GDPR. 

  • Where cameras capture public areas, suitable signage is displayed in accordance with ICO guidance, and the customer is normally the data controller for footage from their installed system. 

12. Changes to This Policy 

Techtrix Limited may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will always be available upon request or via our website.
